I therefore do not recommend the product in any way and I am looking for an alternative solution myself.Warning! Windows XP and Windows Vista® are no longer supported by Microsoft. The plus is that the connection just works well on the 5 ghtz and that's the end of it. The antenna is very sensitive to manipulations, from the moment you move it even the slightest you get drops in speed. What also doesn't work is that you do it plug and play, it doesn't find any drivers on Windows and you have to load the corresponding CD-ROM/DVD to get it configured after all. The dongle is working on an airport extreme (new generation) and the airport is unapproachable, if the connection does not work well with linksys the connection will not work properly and you will know immediately. I then performed a driver update which didn't really work. If you then disconnect your internet connection and restore it again, you do get that 5 ghtz speed and so I get 190 mbps smoothly.
It only achieves 5 mbps speed in terms of download which is much too slow. The linksys also struggles to take the 5ghtz when I just logged into my system. I then got an extension cable from Coolblue and now that thing is lying flat on the desk here, which gives a rather messy impression.
Initially I had used a USB socket from my old WiFi antenna (d-link dwa) on a USB 2.0 port, but the system kept complaining that it worked faster on a USB 3. I installed it on a desktop with windows 7 on it. As for the linksys wusb, I am not very satisfied because it is unreliable. They are unbeatable and then it should cost a bit I think. First of all, congratulations again for the unprecedented cool blue service.
